When you're sure that IHK FOSA is the competent body for your recognition procedure

You can submit an application
Applications are usually submitted digitally
Please submit initial applications for recognition using the standard procedure. Companies can apply for accelerated recognition procedures via the foreigners authority at their place of residence. In case you already have received a decision on partial recognition, you can submit a follow-up application.

Application standard procedure

Skilled workers with place of residence in Germany or abroad having acquired a professional qualification from abroad can apply for an equivalence procedure using the standard procedure.

Accelerated recognition procedure

An accelerated recognition procedure can only be applied for by an employer at the foreigners authority at the companies residence!

Applying directly to IHK FOSA is not possible.

Follow-up application

Do you already have received a notification of partial equivalence from IHK FOSA?

Then you can submit a follow-up application after having completed the adaptation qualification.
